Journey into Software Development…

I recently had a conversation with someone regarding where I stood in my job search as a Software Developer, where I didn’t have to worry about selling myself, or making myself look good.

After the conversation, I looked back and notice that I said wholeheartedly, “I code for myself, continue to learn, for myself, and if I land a job, so be it.”

When I started on the journey, it wasn’t this way. Yes their was something intruiguing and fun about Software Development, but equally so, there was something intruiguing about the salary of a Software Developer. So the paycheck, was part of the original motivation.

Whereas now, almost 2 years down the road, the skill is a super fun one to have and to continue to build…the community is fantastic, yes, its a great way to keep my mental gears greased, I sometimes want to make apps just for myself for my phone or laptop to fulfill a personal pain point, or for fun, and this is only part of the feeling…
